Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel following the incident – but, initially, it seemed they had not sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course, protecting his third-place spot with six laps left to go.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati while they were skidding.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He left with his leathers ripped and scratched on his arm, but maybe lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the healthcare facility for an examination.
Half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia commenced Sunday with a three-point deficit behind championship frontrunner Jorge Martin.
Securing the second position in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP, Martin has moved to the top of the championship standings, now holding a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
