Bagnaia, starting from the fourth spot, attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely trailing right behind Marquez's.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off course.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped beneath Marquez's Ducati while they were sliding.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He departed, his leathers ripped and scraped on his arm, yet possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the health facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were observed strolling in the paddock, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injury.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia began Sunday just three points behind the current championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Securing second place in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP, Martin has now advanced to the top of the championship standings, holding a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
