Bagnaia and Marquez were seen making angry gestures towards each other in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it seemed they hadn't sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course, holding onto third place with just six laps left.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely attached to the front end of Marquez's motorcycle.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a brief period, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and made a motion towards Marquez, indicating that he was alright.
He moved off, the leather on his arm ripped and worn, yet possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the healthcare facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
The occurrence is under scrutiny by the stewards.
Heading into Sunday, the current MotoGP titleholder, Bagnaia, was three points behind the championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him into the championship lead, now holding a 23-point advantage.
Marc Marquez emerged as the victor of the race.
