An incident at Doohan Corner involving Gresini's Alex Marquez resulted in significant lost ground for him, ultimately finishing in 11th place.
"Miller described how he experienced a significant boost from the inside."
"I was close to breaking into the top six by the first turn. I found myself on the inside, hugging the curb as it curved around."
Alex maneuvered above me, and we ended up getting entangled. Thankfully, we managed to disentangle ourselves after moving away from the track's edge.
Starting from the very back, I began the race. Gradually, I overtook several competitors, managing to secure a spot within the top 10 for a while.
I endeavored to maintain my composure and avoid spinning the tire, while still seizing opportunities to gain an advantage wherever possible.
"A solid performance and a fair speed. However, it becomes challenging when you encounter a situation like that…"
Miller subsequently mentioned, "I managed to make a comeback, but with three laps remaining, I lost the front grip. At that point, I had to depend on the rear to navigate the turns."
"I was striving to contend against those boys, but there wasn't much more I could do."
"The speed was satisfactory, though it would have been beneficial to have capitalized on that initial momentum."
Miller managed to steer clear of the area's animals after his KTM collided with a rabbit and a seagull on Saturday at Phillip Island.
Binder achieved the best result among non-Ducati riders
KTM colleague Binder didn't complete the sprint on Saturday but secured 7th position in Sunday's main race.
Binder initiated the race from the 11th position and ascended to a peak of fourth place. By ending in seventh, Binder maintains his position as fifth in the MotoGP standings, surpassing Tech3 GASGAS competitor Pedro Acosta to become the top-ranked rider not on a Ducati.
"From start to finish, I gave it my all," Binder stated.
Today, we installed an alternate aerodynamic setup to adapt to the dry weather, which resulted in improved handling of the bike.
"That was beneficial and advantageous for the race, allowing us to potentially increase our speed slightly."
"I was able to keep up with the guys for some time, but as they increased their speed towards the end, I just couldn't keep up."
"This weekend was educational for us, and we managed to make a slight progress. However, it's clear that we require further efforts to narrow the gap."
Team leader Francesco Guidotti remarked, "An improvement over yesterday. Brad narrowly missed being part of the front pack and experienced a slight loss of confidence due to the rear tyre in the final two laps, preventing him from contending for fourth position. Nonetheless, it was a solid race featuring numerous overtakes and a consistently high speed."
Jack got off to an excellent beginning, but he encountered congestion at the initial turn.
"He recuperated and succeeded in approaching the top ten. He merited further owing to his superior speed."
