### Binder’s Burnout Battles and Miller’s Missteps: Aragon MotoGP Recap
Brad Binder exclaimed, “I ended up doing another rolling burnout!” Meanwhile, Jack Miller remarked, “Rins got past me.” Binder also shared, “I had a solid strategy in mind last night to avoid spinning out at the start…”
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season started in Qatar, finishing in 4th and 6th place at Aragon.
This happened despite him veering off course in both races, although his seventh-place finish was relatively good considering he started on the less favorable part of the track.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the mid-phase of the race, turning it into a contest for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with five laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained slightly beyond grasp.
"I had an excellent strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I managed to execute a rolling burnout just like the day before!" Binder smiled.
"I carefully navigated through and overtook several racers. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while trailing others, especially up until the race's final segment."
"I attempted to gain time on corner exits since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. Ultimately, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no space left behind him!"
"Aside from that, we made several encouraging advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race duration."
Jack Miller, who started the race in 15th position, made an impressive start and moved up to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian rider soon faced difficulties with maintaining rear grip.
Following a last-lap overtake by Alex Rins that pushed him down to tenth place, he was later penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure violations, ultimately placing him in 15th position.
"Quite a lengthy race," remarked Miller. "The track conditions changed again; it was dirty for most of the weekend but felt more slippery today."
"I gave it my all. It was really tough managing the rear tire, which was of medium compound, and I had a major highside incident when exiting the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the outer edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had difficulty keeping up with the leaders. We'll continue to work hard."
Pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the back straight during the final lap. I was trying to be as accurate as possible, but I had poor acceleration, and he managed to outpace me down the straight.
“We will return to Misano.”
KTM's lineup will include a fifth rider this weekend, as test rider Pol Espargaro will participate as a wild-card entry.
“Next, we head to Misano, keeping in mind the subsequent test and Pol's wildcard entry, which will aid us in the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, the latter currently occupying fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might receive official confirmation as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's races in Italy, currently holds 15th place and trails Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
