"He described the day as hectic, yet happily, the outcome was quite positive," he shared with journalists, which included Crash.net, while in the Silverstone paddock.
"This morning we encountered a few problems, and then again, similar issues arose in the afternoon. As a result, it wasn't possible for us to complete several laps consecutively. Instead, I was forced to undertake a series of brief runs, particularly later in the day."
Bezzecchi was pleasantly surprised by his performance in time attack, even though he acknowledged being significantly behind in his long-run preparation.
"Thankfully, I managed to squeeze in a few time attack laps and secure a spot in the top 10 for Q2. I'm pleased with this outcome, but we have a tough day ahead of us to improve our race pace for tomorrow, as we're currently lagging a bit behind."
In response to inquiries regarding the shortcomings in his race speed, Bezzecchi expressed, "Truthfully, it's unclear to me since I haven't really had the opportunity to perform a satisfactory lap.
"The primary problem has been the inability to consistently perform well on the same set of tires, so currently, I'm unsure!"
The Italian proceeded to describe his emotions during the afternoon when he encountered what he believed to be an engine issue.
"He mentioned that he's not fully aware of the problem yet since the team is currently investigating it."
"The bicycle was operational, yet it lacked the necessary energy to kick-start it successfully."
"That's the reason I had to run alongside the bike, to return it (to the pits) – since I was running low on tyres for the remaining session."
Luckily for the #72, he has the opportunity tomorrow morning to fine-tune his pace for the long race before Q2.
"The group is currently analyzing the information, and they're confident they'll identify the issue. However, the time I had was too brief, and since I was limited to just one motorcycle, I wasn't able to perform a standard lap. This leaves me dissatisfied with the pace of the race."
