**”Bastianini Tops Emilia Romagna Warm-Up as Ducati and Title Battles Heat Up”**
Bastianini, Morbidelli, and Quartararo top the Emilia Romagna MotoGP warm-up session.
Enea Bastianini sets the fastest time for the first time this weekend.
Enea Bastianini, who finished third in the Saturday Sprint, posted the fastest time during the morning warm-up session for the Emilia Romagna MotoGP.
The official Ducati racer ended up 0.257 seconds ahead of Franco Morbidelli from the Pramac team, while Fabio Quartararo delivered another strong performance for Yamaha, securing third place.
Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder, riding KTMs, secured fourth and fifth places in the ten-minute session, with Marc Marquez, the winner of the San Marino race, trailing behind them.
Championship contenders Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia, who once more competed fiercely for the win in the Sprint, secured seventh and eighth places respectively.
Bagnaia, who won the sprint race, has a chance to reclaim the championship lead from Martin if he secures Ducati's 100th grand prix victory today.
Ducati has the opportunity to secure the 2024 constructors' championship today.
Due to the cool air temperature of 16 degrees and the early warm-up time of 8:40am, all riders opted for the soft front tyre.
After opting for soft rear tires in the Sprint race, all riders except Marco Bezzecchi switched to medium rear tires this morning, which is anticipated to be the preferred choice for the 27-lap grand prix later today.
The MotoGP race is scheduled to commence earlier, at 1:00 PM.
