Bagnaia Confident Against Marquez: A Glimpse Into MotoGP’s Premier 2025 Line-Up

Francesco Bagnaia believes he currently has an edge over Marc Marquez, but mentions, "next year will be the real test."

In 2025, Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez are set to create what many consider the most formidable MotoGP rider duo.

The pairing of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi at Yamaha was exceptional, but currently, Marquez and Bagnaia rank among the top three racers in MotoGP.

Currently competing on distinct Ducati models, the duo is set to race on the GP25 motorcycles in the upcoming season.

Both contenders are aiming for the title, with Marquez looking to establish his position as a consistent challenger to Bagnaia.

Up to this point in 2024, Bagnaia has outperformed Marquez, with the Italian sharing with Paddock-gp, "I'm now more formidable than Marc. Thus, we'll observe, as the public's anticipations for him were certainly quite distinct.

The fact that Marquez hasn't secured a victory yet this season has caught many off guard.

On several instances, the world champion, who has claimed the title eight times, has shown the sheer ability to succeed but has ultimately not been able to secure the victory.

Bagnaia doesn't anticipate this to persist throughout the whole 2024 season. However, he is confident that his mentality is strong enough to consistently outperform Marquez, a belief that was reinforced by his earlier victory in Jerez this season.

Bagnaia further stated, "The future is uncertain, but my focus is on enjoying the process and giving my all. We are aware of what we're capable of achieving, and if we execute everything correctly… I am fully aware that my advantage lies in my ability to understand and assess the situation."
