**”Aragon GP: Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Miller’s Narrow Miss by Rins”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I did another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller mentioned, "Rins got past me."
Brad Binder said, "I devised an excellent strategy last night to avoid spinning my tires at the start…"
Brad Binder had his most successful MotoGP weekend since the opening race in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
This occurred even though he spun out in both races, with his seventh-place finish being on the cleaner part of a messy starting grid.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle of the race, and this tussle turned into a contest for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained slightly beyond reach.
"I came up with an excellent strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I executed another rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder said with a smile.
"I carefully navigated my way through and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating while trailing others, especially up to the final part of the race."
"I attempted to compensate for lost time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. Unfortunately, this strategy backfired, leaving the left side of the tire completely worn out by the end."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind him!"
"Aside from that, we took some notably positive strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Teammate Jack Miller had a strong start, moving up from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly found himself facing difficulties with rear tire grip.
Following his defeat to Alex Rins for ninth place on the final lap, he was one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure issues, which relegated him to 15th position.
“It was a lengthy race,” Miller commented. “The track conditions were varied once more; it had been dirty throughout most of the weekend but felt more slippery today.”
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident as I exited the final corner."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
“I didn’t make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We’ll continue to work hard.”
“I'm pleased to have finished in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the final lap's back straight. I was trying to be as accurate as possible, but I didn't get a good acceleration, and he managed to outpace me down the back straight.”
“We will return to Misano in the future.”
This weekend, KTM will have a total of five riders as test rider Pol Espargaro joins the team as a wildcard entry.
“Now head to Misano, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard, which should provide us with some assistance moving forward,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP event is set to begin with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently sits in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be officially announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, just three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
