Official Records of the Aragon MotoGP:
Fastest lap: Marc Marquez clocked in at 1 minute and 45.801 seconds (2024)
Quickest lap time in the race: Luca Marini at 1 minute and 47.795 seconds (2022)
Jorge Martin, the current leader in the MotoGP standings, topped the timesheets during a rainy Sunday morning warm-up session at the Aragon MotoGP.
As the sun beamed down and meteorologists predicted no rain for the race, Sprint victor Marc Marquez completed just one lap to test his wet-weather configuration before heading back to the garage.
The Aragon track, which was the venue for a MotoGP race in 2022, has undergone a full resurfacing in preparation for this year's event.
Because there is no MotoGP data available for the new track surface, Michelin has decided to increase the rear tyre options from two to three for this weekend.
Nevertheless, because of indications of blistering on the soft rear tires during the Sprint, they will not be a viable choice for the grand prix.
