Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II (2025): Subtle Evolution Meets Bespoke Luxury
The 2025 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Unveiled
The latest Ghost Series II model features updated lights, advanced technology, and a novel Duality Twill interior boasting an impressive 2.2 million stitches.
To the untrained eye, or those not particularly versed in Rolls-Royce intricacies, the updates to the 2025 Ghost Series II might go unnoticed. Renowned for steering clear of overt makeovers, the British luxury carmaker prefers to describe this as a "subtle evolution."
The striking outline of the sedan remains consistent with what we observed at its initial unveiling in 2020. However, the creators have made minor tweaks to the lighting and front end to give the vehicle a more updated appearance. On the inside, the Ghost continues to epitomize opulence, yet it's been refreshed with enhanced software and a greater array of customization choices.
At the front, there's a refreshed design that's a bit simpler, allowing for a slightly larger grille. The headlights have been subtly reshaped to be a touch narrower and now feature distinct LED components. At the rear, the tail lights have been redesigned, taking cues from the Spectre model.
The Ghost's wheels come in at 22 inches and now feature fresh nine-spoke styles. There's simply no justification left for not picking the preferred hue. If, by chance, none of the over 44,000 shades offered by the car manufacturer's Bespoke Service appeal to you, perhaps the newly introduced Mustique Blue paint might capture your affection.
If you're acquainted with the interior of the Ghost, you might not notice any significant changes at first glance. A glass panel extending from one A-pillar to the other houses the entertainment screen and digital gauges. However, these gauges now offer customization options. Clients can select from a spectrum of colors, and we're not talking about choosing from a limited brochure selection. Instead, the Ghost purchaser picks a unique shade, and the software team codes it into the system to guarantee exclusivity.
Regarding the underlying technology, the Ghost Series II employs the brand's Spirit operating system, which serves as a digital interface. This system also includes "Whispers," a Rolls-Royce app that turns a connected smartphone into a remote control. Users can use it to open and close doors, send navigation details, or track their vehicle. Rear passengers can now stream content to each rear infotainment screen from up to two devices. Additionally, the audio system now boasts an 18-speaker setup powered by a 1,400-watt amplifier.
If you're on the hunt for cutting-edge luxury, allow yourself to be captivated by a novel wooden material known as Grey Stained Ash. Additionally, 2025 will see the debut of a new type of upholstery called Duality Twill, a unique fabric crafted from bamboo. According to Rolls-Royce, it took a year to perfect this fabric, and opting for it adds an extra 20 hours to the production process. This is because it utilizes an impressive 17.7 kilometers of thread. The stitching that results from this comprises a staggering 2.2 million stitches. If that doesn't epitomize Rolls-Royce, then it's hard to say what does.
For the 2025 model year, the underlying mechanics remain unchanged. This includes the Planar suspension system with Magic Carpet Ride as well as the 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, which continues to deliver 563 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

For those seeking an upgrade, the Black Badge Ghost Series II is an option that receives similar interior and exterior enhancements. The Black Badge model emphasizes ample use of dark chrome and carbon fiber to infuse the vehicle's luxury with a bit more edge. It features new seven-spoke 22-inch wheels housed within its wheel arches. Powering the car is a V12 engine with an output of 591 horsepower, complemented by a faster-operating transmission.
Rolls-Royce has not yet disclosed a starting price for the latest iteration of the Ghost, the Series II. Previously, the standard model started around €323,000, with the Black Badge edition climbing to approximately €379,000. However, it's often said that if you have to inquire about the cost, it's likely out of your financial reach, right?
