Quartararo Battles Vibration Woes as Yamaha Remains Optimistic; Rins Edges into Top 10 at Rain-Hit Phillip Island

Upon returning to the pit, Quartararo was observed talking about the vibrations he experienced while riding.

Quartararo described the practice session as being particularly challenging.

"To truly discover the boundaries on this track, a significant number of laps are necessary."

"We needed a few additional laps to reach our full potential, but we came very close to making it to Q2, and I felt pretty positive about our performance."

"I'm in a better condition compared to two weeks ago in Japan, but we have to enhance our performance in the final sector here, with a particular focus on the last corner."

"We'll wait and see what unfolds tomorrow. If the weather stays dry, the tarmac might offer better traction, which could be beneficial. I believe we have a chance to advance to Q2."

Rins commented: "Today went well for me, but it was definitely a bit nerve-wracking!"

This morning, we spent a considerable amount of time waiting in the pit box. At one moment, it seemed like we were ready to hit the track, but then plans changed. Eventually, we did manage to participate in the practice session.

"The condition of the track appears to be generally good, though there are some uneven patches. I'm thrilled to have made it to Q2, and this achievement means a lot to me. I've dedicated a great deal of effort to reach this point, and it's incredibly significant."

"We have an opportunity to begin closer to the front, and the initial laps of the Sprint and Race are very important. In general, it was a positive day."

Team manager Maio Meregalli stated: "We lost 45 minutes of important FP1 time, so we understood that there was a lot to accomplish this afternoon. We expected that the time attack during the Practice session would be quite challenging.

"We attempted to make the most of the dry track conditions to prepare for a highly competitive practice session."

Ultimately, the time difference between Alex and Fabio was minimal, only 0.015 seconds. However, this small margin determined whether one secured a direct entry to Q2 or had to compete in Q1.

"We believe Fabio has a good opportunity in Q1 tomorrow. Our main focus is enhancing our performance in Sector 4, so we will analyze today's information and aim to push the boundaries."

"We're wishing for dry weather tomorrow to give us the chance to secure the best positions during qualifying and to ensure the fans at the venue can experience a complete day of exciting track events."
