PayPal Expands Services in Shenzhen to Boost Cross-Border Transactions: A Look at the Launch of ‘PayPal Complete Payments’ in China

PayPal is seeking to attract international businesses in Shenzhen by enhancing its offerings in China. The fintech company introduced PayPal Complete Payments on Thursday, which lets traders accept international credit cards and mobile wallets.

PayPal's operations in China experienced significant growth in the last year, as stated by Hannah Qiu, the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer in China, during a corporate gathering in the nation's southern technology center this past Thursday.

"Considering the strain and obstacles the global and Chinese economy are facing, this growth is quite remarkable," stated Qiu.

The enterprise headquartered in San Jose, California, initiated PayPal Complete Payments for China this Thursday. Their objective is to facilitate overseas sales for merchants by enabling them to receive payments from international clients through credit cards and foreign digital wallets.

PayPal has traditionally facilitated international transactions, but the introduction of this new service aims to extend its compatibility with modern platforms like Apple Pay and Google Pay. This service also offers enhanced features, including risk management. The PayPal Complete Payments service is currently accessible in over 30 markets, encompassing the United States and several European nations.
