Carlos Sainz Shines as Ferrari Dominates United States GP Practice at Circuit of the Americas
Carlos Sainz topped the timing charts during the United States Grand Prix practice session, with his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc following closely behind to secure a 1-2 finish for the team.
Carlos Sainz recorded the fastest time during the sole practice session for the United States Grand Prix in Formula 1 this weekend.
As the sprint format makes a comeback for this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, teams had only an hour to adjust their setups before sprint qualifying takes place later today.

Ferrari appeared at ease from the start, as both Sainz and Charles Leclerc posted impressive times while using the harder tires.
As the session entered its last 20 minutes, Max Verstappen was initially in the lead after posting a strong lap on soft tires. However, Carlos Sainz eventually surpassed his time by 0.253 seconds.
Sainz maintained his position in front of his teammate Leclerc, whose top performance was temporarily hindered by a short Virtual Safety Car period.
After completing a lap, Leclerc was only 0.021 seconds slower than the fastest time.
Ferrari stands out as the sole leading team that hasn't brought any fresh enhancements for this weekend.
Max Verstappen secured third place overall, narrowly surpassing Lando Norris, who veered off track during his fastest lap towards the session's conclusion.
Oscar Piastri, who isn't using the updated front wing from McLaren, achieved the fifth-fastest time and was 0.306 seconds behind Sainz.
The Mercedes seemed difficult to manage, as both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell experienced spins early in the session.
Ultimately, Hamilton finished in sixth place, with Russell following in seventh.
Kevin Magnussen secured an impressive eighth place with the enhanced Haas, finishing ahead of Fernando Alonso and Yuki Tsunoda.
Liam Lawson, stepping in for Daniel Ricciardo, finished in 13th place, just a tenth of a second behind his teammate on his return to Formula 1.
Sergio Perez found himself in 16th place, expressing dissatisfaction with the balance of his RB20 car.
