Alibaba’s Global Unit Unveils Macro MT: A Comprehensive AI Translation Model for Cross-Border E-Commerce

Alibaba's international division is promoting an AI model centered on translation for both businesses and individual users. Macro MT, a fresh, extensive language model, facilitates translation in multiple international e-commerce situations.

Business owners can incorporate Macro MT into their product management, customer service, and search navigation systems. The LLM is able to convert product data uploaded by merchants, such as names, details and picture titles, into the language of their desired customer base. Additionally, it has the ability to translate search terms and conversations, as stated on the LLM's introduction page.

At present, the model is capable of translating text in 15 different languages, such as Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Korean.
