United States GP Chief Eager for Daniel Ricciardo’s Appearance in Austin Amid F1 Exit
US Grand Prix head 'wishes' for Daniel Ricciardo to show up in Austin
Is there a chance Daniel Ricciardo will be seen at the US Grand Prix?
Circuit of the Americas F1 head Bobby Epstein has proposed to provide Daniel Ricciardo with activities to engage in should he make an appearance at the upcoming United States Grand Prix next weekend.
Ricciardo has ceased to be an F1 racer, having been let go by VCARB subsequent to the Singapore Grand Prix.
The recent race in Singapore probably marked his last appearance in Formula 1, concluding a triumphant career.
Despite his challenges in maintaining competitive race speeds, Ricciardo continues to be a fan favorite in F1.
His popularity in the United States soared, notably because of the Netflix series Drive to Survive.
Epstein is eager to witness Ricciardo present at the race, even if he isn't behind the wheel.
According to ESPN, he mentioned: "Daniel might just have the potential to influence as significantly outside the vehicle as he does inside it at our grand prix.
"It's uncertain if folks are actually purchasing tickets just to watch him compete if his car isn't up to par, right? So, if his inclusion in the F1 circle is what draws you, I believe he can continue to significantly contribute to the F1 community."
"Epstein also noted, 'He's deeply cherished in Texas, and it seems he enjoys being here.'"
"Thus, I hope he becomes more accessible to his supporters than he might have been had he been committed to being behind the wheel."
"I'm hoping he's still planning to visit, as there are numerous individuals eager to meet him, secure his autograph, or snap a photo. Simply having him seen around the area would be great."
"We'll ensure he remains occupied."
