Temu Challenges Amazon with $4 Knock-Off Fire TV Stick Remotes, Achieves Bestseller Status

According to Temu’s website, these imitation Fire TV remotes are selling rapidly.

The same source asserts that these duplicate Fire TV remotes are moving quickly off the shelves.

Temu is offering Alexa-enabled remote controls that work with Amazon's Fire TV Stick for a bargain price of just US$4. Comparable non-branded versions are priced around US$10 on Amazon.com, whereas the official Fire TV replacement remote is approximately US$25.

Temu, which surfaced in 2022, has been contesting Amazon's quick delivery promises by providing significant price reductions to customers who are ready to wait approximately a week for their purchases.

Counterfeit Fire TV remotes are being sold rapidly, as per the information on Temu's website. One product, labeled as a "substitute Alexa Voice Remote Control" that works with Fire TV streaming devices, has been tagged as a "top seller".

Over 75,000 units of the product were purchased by customers at Temu, and it received a high rating of 4.6 stars from a multitude of reviews. A common sentiment among reviewers was the striking resemblance of the replacement to the original remotes that accompanied their Amazon streaming devices. The website attributes the supply of these devices to a company based in China, known as "Cilcone."

"One review from August 16 expresses initial doubts about the product's effectiveness, but the reviewer was willing to give it a shot due to its affordable price.
