Racing to the White House: Kamala Harris Champions F1 and Lewis Hamilton Amid Presidential Campaign
Kamala Harris has expressed her fondness for Formula 1, stating that she is a fan of Lewis Hamilton. She mentioned that she and her family greatly enjoy the sport.
Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, has announced that she is an admirer of Formula 1, specifically highlighting Lewis Hamilton as her preferred driver.
Harris is set to compete directly against Donald Trump next month as voters head to the polls for the U.S. presidential election.
In July, she took over from Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's candidate.
During her campaign efforts leading up to election day, Harris was featured on the Howard Stern show.
In the course of the interview, Harris disclosed that she and her entire family are passionate fans of Formula 1.
Discussing Formula 1, she remarked, "It's fantastic. We are all fans. Our entire family enjoys it."
As expected, due to her dedication to running for president, Harris has not had the opportunity to follow any of the recent races.
An additional difficulty for viewers in the United States is dealing with the time differences, as numerous races are scheduled in the early morning hours.
Harris exclaimed, "Absolutely not. Certainly not. I've not had the chance to watch it lately due to my campaign activities. Plus, it varies depending on the driving locations and the time, which requires early mornings…"
When questioned about her preferred driver, she replied, "Lewis Hamilton, naturally. He's departing from Mercedes."
In the end, she suggested to the interviewer that they should give F1 a try, mentioning that they could become quite fascinated by it
"After you begin, you should check it out because it's possible you'll become addicted," Harris finished.
