OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, responds to Elon Musk's allegations of 'selflessness versus selfishness' in a legal dispute. Despite the lawsuit, OpenAI continues to pique the interest of investors, having recently secured US$6.6 billion in funding at a whopping valuation of US$157 billion.

Musk's grievance portrays the OpenAI narrative as a classic conflict between selflessness and avarice.

"This lawsuit represents the most recent development in Elon Musk's progressively aggressive strategy to pester OpenAI for his personal competitive gain," stated Altman and the company in a legal document submitted on Tuesday. They requested an Oakland, California federal judge to disregard Musk's grievance.
