Microsoft Restricts Azure OpenAI Access in Mainland China: Individual Subscriptions Axed, Enterprises Remain Eligible
Microsoft has discontinued Azure subscription for individual users who wish to access OpenAI in mainland China. This decision is due to local regulatory mandates, which restrict the subscription of Azure OpenAI Service to only corporate clients in mainland China.
