However, the Spanish racer nearly lost his chance to claim victory right from the beginning. A visor tear-off he had tossed aside got caught under his back tire, causing significant wheelspin as he tried to get off the line.
Starting in second place, he fell to 13th position, but managed to climb back to sixth by the end of the first lap and eventually secured the victory.

Reflecting on the opening lap, Marquez confesses that he was uncertain about his position in the race standings and is unsure about how he managed to make such a strong recovery.
"Once the race began, my initial focus was to stay still as much as possible because I was aware that the other riders were approaching," he explained.
"Although I attempted to steer clear of any interaction, upon reaching the first turn and spotting [Luca] Marini, several Yamahas, and numerous other riders ahead, I found myself uncertain about my position."
"However, by the time I reached the second corner, I found myself back in sixth place."
"I’m not sure what my actions were – I need to watch it again! However, I was indicating towards Pecco [Bagnaia] because I was confident that I could catch up to him."
"I wasn't directing my attention towards Jorge initially. However, upon noticing him conserving his rear tire, I decided to push my limits. I aimed to maximize the use of my rear tire in an effort to catch up with him, and we would see how it all played out in the end. That's exactly what we ended up doing."
On lap 24, Marquez managed to pass Martin as the Pramac rider went wide after exiting Turn 4. However, Martin quickly regained his position by overtaking Marquez before reaching Turn 1 on the following lap.
The crucial maneuver occurred during the 25th lap out of 27 when Marquez boldly maneuvered his GP23 inside Martin at Turn 4, successfully completing the assertive pass.
He described how he was tailing Jorge, strategizing the assault for the final five or four laps.
"After noticing a minor error, I decided to take charge and said, 'Alright, I'll take the lead in the race now.'"
"In that instant, I believed he might fall back. However, on the straight with the draft, he managed to pass me. When he did, I thought, 'Alright, we need to launch a strong counterattack.'"
"We went on the offensive at Turn 4, and in the final two laps, we really put the pressure on the tires. By pushing harder, we managed to achieve another low 1 minute 28 seconds, which was a remarkably quick lap."
