A crucial factor in Marquez's win was his outstanding performance at the Turn 3 left-hand curve, recently renamed Stoner Corner to pay tribute to the Australian two-time MotoGP champion.
TNT Sports analyst Michael Laverty suggested that this might be the case. He mentioned that Frankie Carchedi hinted at a strategy. When they observed Marc's approach to Turn 3 during the initial laps, it became apparent he was reserving some of his effort for the final stages of the race.
"To handle it like Casey? He has the skill, and not many people do."
"He skillfully maneuvered the bike by steering with the rear wheel, allowing it to pivot through the center and prepare for the braking area."
He was able to seize the chance to make a decisive move at the peak of Turn 4, securing the race victory by overtaking Martin.
"At Turn 3, drivers engage the fifth gear and go all in."
Neil Hodgson commented, "It was perplexing for us since it was clear that Marc was struggling with acceleration."
"He exited the corner more effectively, making me think he was using more of the tire grip, but he couldn't get into the right spot to overtake in any of the acceleration zones."
"It's fascinating because he was actually keeping the tire."
"In the final moments, with rapid succession, Martin had no opportunity to defend himself."
Starting from 13th place due to a poor beginning, Marquez fought his way through the field and managed to overtake Martin, securing his most remarkable victory on a Ducati.
With three rounds remaining, he trails the championship leader Martin by 79 points. However, he is expected to play a significant role in the title battle, which also includes the reigning champion Pecco Bagnaia.
"According to Laverty, Marc will continue to act as a disruptor right to the finish."
"We're heading to venues where his past performance has been strong."
"I believe the race in Valencia will probably be a contest primarily between the two riders from the GP24 team."
Marc retains his competitive spirit, instincts, and skills in racing.
"The trio of riders are outstanding, paving the way for an exciting championship in 2025."
