Lewis Hamilton lands an esteemed position for the 2025 Met Gala fashion showcase.
Lewis Hamilton has been announced as a co-chair for the 2025 Met Gala fashion event.
Hamilton is set to co-lead the event with several renowned celebrities.

Hamilton made an appearance at the 2021 Met Gala, providing an opportunity for several of the most talented young black designers to experience the renowned occasion.
The Met Gala frequently attracts top celebrities and fashion icons.
In 2021, Hamilton expressed, "The Met stands as the year's most significant fashion gathering, and with this theme, I aimed to craft something impactful that would ignite dialogue."
"Thus, when we are seen as a collective, it will elevate these Black designers to the forefront of public consciousness." The individual who has clinched the world championship seven times will serve as a co-chair for the event in 2025.
A co-chair assists in marketing, organizing, and selecting the theme for the Met Gala.
Hamilton shared on his Instagram his gratitude for being selected as a co-chair, describing it as an "honor."
Hamilton expressed on his Instagram page, "It's an immense honor for me to serve as one of the co-chairs for the upcoming Met Gala, themed 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.'"
"This topic resonates with me profoundly. Beginning my career, I could not foresee my potential beyond my athletic endeavors. The urge to fit in greatly restricts numerous individuals."
Being the sole Black child in my track team often brought immense pressure. Finding solace and freedom through creative expression has always been my escape from such uniformity. For Black individuals around the world, fashion serves as a means of self-protection.
"Fashion embodies persistence, and I'm eager to delve deeper into and elevate the voices that have yet to be fully heard."
