Huawei Surpasses Apple in China’s Smartphone Sales for the First Time in Nearly Four Years, Amid Decline in Foreign Shipments
For the first time in almost four years, Huawei's smartphone sales in China surpassed Apple's in August, according to a report. This coincides with statistics revealing a 12.7% annual decrease in overseas smartphone deliveries, Apple included, in the same month.

The mobile phone industry in China has consistently grown stronger this year, attracting a greater number of customers to home-grown brands. Huawei, the market frontrunner, captured 17.5% of the market share in the first six months. During this period, total domestic deliveries surpassed 140 million units, marking a 7.7% increase compared to the previous year, as per information from the research company IDC.
