The central banking institution of Hong Kong intends to transform its yearly banking conference into a major occasion for the global financial sector in the latter part of each year. All spots for the 2024 session have been booked a month prior to the planned start date.

The Chief Executive of HKMA, Eddie Yue Wai-man, in an interview with the South China Morning Post, suggested that the organization will probably host its flagship event in Hong Kong annually. He observed a growing number of related events happening around the main summit. He believes it would be beneficial for Hong Kong to maintain this as the centerpiece of an influential finance week.
