Emotional Farewell: Daniel Ricciardo’s Heartfelt Message to Oscar Piastri as He Bows Out of F1

Daniel Ricciardo's last words to his fellow Australian, Oscar Piastri, have been disclosed.

During his last weekend as a Formula 1 driver at the Singapore Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo shared a heartfelt farewell message with fellow Australian Oscar Piastri.

Ricciardo exited Formula 1 after the weekend of racing at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Although it hadn't been officially disclosed, all indications suggested that this would be Ricciardo's last appearance, and he was aware of it.

After the race in Singapore, Ricciardo participated in several extensive interviews. During his conversation with F1TV, he appeared notably distressed.

During his conversation with Sky, he looked back on his professional journey and candidly discussed his close bond with Max Verstappen.

Soon after the event in Singapore, Red Bull announced that Liam Lawson would be taking over for the United States Grand Prix.

On Thursday, Ricciardo shared a series of final photos from his last Formula 1 race weekend on Instagram.

In the collection, there was an image showing him exchanging helmets with Piastri.

For the 2023 season, Oscar Piastri took Daniel Ricciardo's spot at McLaren.

With McLaren's recent improvement in performance, Piastri has emerged as Australia's leading Formula 1 driver.

On the helmet gifted to Piastri, Ricciardo inscribed: "Oscar, continue to soar, my friend, and keep up the great work. Here's to many more victories! :)"

Ex-Red Bull racer David Coulthard remarked, "Pay no attention to me… I'm just slicing onions…"
