Dacia's latest flagship vehicle is the Bigster, which lives up to its name with a sizable presence. This Romanian SUV sits above the Duster in the lineup, boasting an extra 25 cm in length and a cargo space that ranks among the top in its category.

The Bigster, while adhering to the brand's practical approach, raises the bar for spaciousness. It aims to break into the C-segment of SUVs, targeting families in search of a roomy vehicle with a multitude of functional features.

The Dacia Bigster features a boxy and robust design, providing an illusion of a size greater than its actual dimensions. It stretches out to 4.57 meters in length, which is consistent with the latest models in its segment, while its width is slightly narrower than average at 1.81 meters.

A height of 1.71 meters is essential as it indicates ample space for taller passengers on board. Similarly, a wheelbase of 2.70 meters is quite substantial for a combustion engine car and greatly enhances the legroom for rear-seat passengers.

The Dacia Bigster boasts a spacious interior and ample luggage space, taking full advantage of its sizable exterior dimensions. Dacia has honed in on space, ergonomics, and comfort in crafting this vehicle, culminating in a satisfying final product. The front seats offer comfort, while the rear provides generous legroom and headroom.

However, the Bigster will only be available with five seats. There is no plan for a third row of seating, an option that is only provided with the Jogger. The Bigster's boot has a minimum capacity of 667 liters, which can be expanded by folding down the rear seats using the levers of the Easy-Fold system. Dacia has not yet disclosed the maximum volume capacity.

Additionally, the trunk floor is safeguarded with a rubber mat that's easy to wash and can be rolled up when not in use. This mat comes standard with the Extreme models, but is available as an optional add-on for all other trim levels. The rear hatch can also be equipped with an optional power opening feature.

The compact SUV market is crowded, presenting a challenge for Dacia Bigster to stand out. However, its generous interior space and an anticipated starting price of about 25,000 euros should give it an edge over numerous competitors.
