Italian sources indicate that Andrea Iannone might participate in races at Sepang and Valencia.

Sources suggest that Andrea Iannone is under serious consideration to fill in for VR46 in the MotoGP series.

Fabio di Giannantonio from VR46 is set to have shoulder surgery, bringing his season to an early close following the Thailand MotoGP.

The decision on who will replace the rider for the final two rounds of the campaign is still pending. VR46 informed Crash.net that it is "yet to be confirmed and not decided at this time."

According to reports from Italy, Iannone has unexpectedly taken the lead.

Both Motosprint and GPOne suggest that the ex-MotoGP competitor might be considering a short-term return to racing.

Since the last race of the 2019 MotoGP season, Iannone has been absent from the circuit, having been sidelined by a four-year suspension due to a doping violation.

This season, he made a successful comeback in the World Superbike Championship, showcasing his skills once again.

In the past week, Iannone signed a fresh deal to continue racing with Go Eleven Ducati in the World Superbike Championship for the upcoming year.

The World Superbike Championship concludes this weekend in Jerez.

His connections at Ducati might now witness him returning to MotoGP for two races, stepping in for Di Giannantonio.

According to a report by GPOne, both Valentino Rossi and Gigi Dall’Igna concur that Iannone ought to take over Di Giannantonio's position.

VR46 has announced that Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli will be their riders for the 2025 season.
