Angela Rayner's visit to a club in Ibiza was facilitated by a gift from the management of the DJ she was there to watch.
In the latest disclosure of interests released on Wednesday, the deputy prime minister reported receiving "hospitality – access to DJ booth at Hi Ibiza, valued at £836" on August 28, 2024.
The contributor identified is Ayita LCC, the administrative firm for Fisher, an Australian DJ known for his house and techno music, where Ms. Rayner was seen enjoying herself.
The video captures Ms. Rayner energetically dancing in the DJ booth, receiving cheers from the audience at Hi Ibiza, a nightclub that can hold 5,000 people, located on the renowned party island in Spain.
At the time, she was met with disapproval but countered by asserting her belief that MPs are entitled to "down time" and emphasized her deep commitment to her role.
Ms. Rayner also mentioned that she has been acquainted with DJ Fisher for several years, describing him as a "truly wonderful person."
