AC Schnitzer provides the Mini Cooper with long-awaited exhaust pipes

A new exhaust system, lowered suspension, and custom aerodynamic components

AC Schnitzer is rolling out a fresh enhancement package for the Mini Cooper. This suite of upgrades targets performance, aesthetics, and handling. One of the most noticeable improvements is the exhaust system, as the standard Mini Cooper comes with a rather inconspicuous rear bumper.

Despite the fact that the twin stylish exhaust pipes have always been the most recognizable feature of all Cooper S models, the Aachen-based tuners have fortunately found a solution. They've equipped the Mini Cooper with a new exhaust system, which features two 100-millimeter exhaust pipes with carbon surrounds and a rear diffuser insert positioned at the center of the rear.

AC Schnitzer offers a set of suspension springs that lower the vehicle by 20 to 25 millimeters to enhance its road handling. This modification is designed to increase the Mini's agility and improve its driving performance. Additionally, customers have the option to select either bi-color or black 19-inch alloy wheels.

The wheels measure 19 inches and are fitted with 215/35 R19 size tires on both the front and rear axles. This gives the Mini a robust appearance while the alloy wheels remain both lightweight and strong. This not only enhances performance but also adds to the aesthetic appeal. Furthermore, the track width has been increased by 10 mm on each side.

AC Schnitzer enhances the aerodynamic performance by adding front splitters, side skirts, and front wings. This modification streamlines the airflow around the vehicle and increases downforce. The rear of the Mini is defined by a two-piece roof spoiler. Additionally, there are stylish decals available for the hood and sides in black or anthracite.

The interior has also been revamped. An aluminum footrest and keyholder add a touch of sportiness. The superior craftsmanship sets the car apart.

Further Information on the Mini Cooper

The Aachen-based company AC Schnitzer currently doesn't have a performance enhancement available for the standard 204 horsepower and 300 Nm torque Mini Cooper S. However, they haven't ruled out the possibility for future upgrades. Consider the impressive JCW Convertible from AC Schnitzer's past as an example.

In conjunction with AC Schnitzer's custom upgrades, the latest Mini John Cooper Works is set to be officially unveiled on October 14, 2024. What's particularly intriguing is that it will be available both as a conventional combustion engine model and as an electric vehicle.
