The driver from the Netherlands has secured victories in eight races so far this season, with seven of those wins happening within the first 10 races.

Since late June, Verstappen has secured only a single victory (in Brazil), with McLaren generally outperforming Red Bull during this period.

Following the race in Las Vegas, Hamilton shared his opinions on Verstappen's most recent championship win.

Hill, the 1996 Formula 1 world champion with Williams, openly criticized Verstappen's driving during the Mexico City Grand Prix.

The individual, aged 64, responded to Verstappen securing the championship by sharing a message on their X profile.

He stated: "Credit where credit is due for Red Bull and Max Verstappen. They've completely dominated this era of F1 rules, and obviously, Max has showcased exceptional driving skills (with a few moments of losing composure!)"
