Elon Musk faces litigation for incorporating Blade Runner visuals at a Tesla self-driving taxi reveal

The launch of Cybercab earlier in the month showcased a slide during the presentation that contained an AI-created graphic resembling a scene from the movie.

The production firm, which has also funded and created movies like The Blind Side, lodged a legal case against Musk, alleging he violated copyright laws. The company emphasized that it explicitly refused to authorize the use of the images.

Alcon claims that Tesla didn't seek approval until the day the event was conducted, which was on October 10. Musk, Tesla, and Warner Brothers Discovery, who facilitated the event on a studio property, are named as the accused parties.

Tesla, Musk, and Warner Brothers Discovery did not promptly reply to a request for a comment regarding the lawsuit.
