Daniel Ricciardo Embraces Retirement with a Smile: From F1 Champion to Leisure Enthusiast
Daniel Ricciardo announces retirement in touching social media update
"I've retired, enjoying life is now my profession."
Daniel Ricciardo was seen sporting a cap that read “I’m retired” while relishing his time off from F1.
Ricciardo's journey in Formula 1 concluded after the Singapore Grand Prix when Red Bull decided to bring in Liam Lawson as his replacement.
This signifies that the Australian driver will miss the last six races, essentially marking the end of his career in Formula 1.
Since his departure from F1, what Ricciardo has been up to remains somewhat ambiguous.
Following the Singapore Grand Prix, Ricciardo shared several 'behind-the-scenes' images from his last weekend with VCARB on his personal social media.
This also involved exchanging helmets with fellow national, Oscar Piastri.
A new photo featuring Ricciardo from after an F1 event has emerged.
Motocross competitor Adam Cianciarulo shared multiple pictures on his Instagram profile.
Ricciardo donned a hat that proclaimed: "I'm retired, enjoying life is now my profession."
Ricciardo experienced a fruitful career in Formula 1, securing victories in eight competitions.
Between 2014 and 2018, he was considered among the top Formula 1 drivers.
In 2019, his decision to join Renault seemed unusual, yet he continued to be among the top performers in Formula 1, securing two podium finishes with the Enstone-based team in his second season.
Yet, his inaugural season with McLaren didn't go as planned, as he found it challenging to keep pace with Lando Norris.
He managed to secure McLaren's first victory in nine years during the Italian Grand Prix, yet that victory stood as the sole highlight.
McLaren terminated its agreement with him at the close of 2022, opting to bring in Piastri as his replacement.
