The leading theoretical publication of the Communist Party has underscored the dangers posed by "destructive" "foreign entities" aiming to sway China's young population, by sharing segments of a speech delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping six years earlier.
In his address at the 2018 National Education Conference, Xi Jinping criticized certain groups for attempting to "Westernize" Chinese young people and orchestrating a "color revolution." He emphasized the importance of ideological education in schools.
