The leading theoretical publication of the Communist Party recently emphasized the dangers posed by "destructive" "international entities" attempting to sway the young people in China. This was done through the publication of segments from a speech delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping six years earlier.
During his address at the 2018 National Education Conference, Xi criticized certain groups for attempting to "Westernize" Chinese young people and orchestrate a "color revolution." He emphasized the importance of ideological education in schools.
