During an official ceremony in Beijing commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic on Tuesday, Xi declared that Taiwan is "China's sacred land" and emphasized that "the people across the Taiwan Strait share a blood connection."
He stated, "We must foster the spiritual unity of our fellow countrymen across the strait and firmly stand against any activities that advocate for 'Taiwan independence' separatism."
