Xi Jinping Asserts Taiwan as ‘Sacred Territory’, Denounces Separatism in National Day Address
In a speech commemorating National Day, China's Xi Jinping issued a warning to 'Taiwan separatists' and reaffirmed his backing for Hong Kong and Macau, declaring the island to be the nation's 'sacred territory.'
During a formal ceremony in Beijing commemorating the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic on Tuesday, Xi declared that Taiwan is "sacred Chinese territory" and emphasized that "the people across the Taiwan Strait share a blood connection."
He emphasized the need to foster spiritual unity among citizens on both sides of the strait and firmly stand against any separatist movements advocating for "Taiwan independence."
