The Golf eHybrid is priced starting at €44,240, while the more athletic GTE version is available from €46,745.

The latter boasts a power output of 272 horsepower, outperforming the iconic GTI by a margin of 7 horsepower. Volkswagen has generously equipped the eHybrid, which is designed for comfort, with 204 horsepower. Additionally, both variants have seen an increase in their pure electric range. The GTE is expected to achieve up to 131 ai-allcreator.com">kilometers, while the eHybrid is anticipated to reach 143 kilometers. Furthermore, both models are enhanced with a DC fast-charging capability of up to 50 kW. In hybrid mode on longer journeys, they are speculated to attain a combined range of up to 1,000 kilometers.

Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the updated PHEV versions, along with the rest of the lineup, can be distinguished by the updated LED headlights, taillights, and front bumper. VW also offers optional "Performance Headlights" for those interested.

In a first for a European VW model, an illuminated VW badge is being introduced on the front, along with an extra LED crossbar in the grille. Additionally, the GTE model is distinguished by a blue trim line just below the front hood.

The updated version continues to feature the GTE's signature check-pattern seats and sports leather steering wheel of the electrified compact sports car. The Golf eHybrid is delivered in the "Style" edition. Both models come standard with an entertainment system that includes a standalone 12.9-inch touchscreen. Additional safety features such as assisted driving up to 130 mph, emergency braking assistance, lane-keeping assistance, and energy recovery functionality are now standard, partly due to EU regulations.

Prospective buyers interested in the Golf's hybrid versions have the additional option of selecting from four new exterior colors: "Crystal Ice Blue Metallic," "Anemone Blue Metallic," "Oyster Silver Metallic," and "Grenadilla Black Metallic." For the GTE model, there's the added choice of a black-painted roof. Additionally, the presence of a chrome strip above the diffuser serves as a distinctive feature at the rear of the vehicle.
