Tragedy Strikes Eastern China: School Bus Crash Claims Lives of Students and Parents, Community Rallies with Blood Drive Response
Five children and six adults have died in eastern China following a tragic incident where a bus collided with a group at a school. Authorities have taken the driver into custody. In response, a local movie theater has set up blood donation stations, following a widespread appeal on social media to help the numerous individuals injured in the accident.
On Tuesday morning, a bus plowed into a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in 11 fatalities and 24 injuries.
Based on information from the state broadcaster CCTV, the incident took place at approximately 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School located in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day after the school year commenced.
According to the report, those injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others are currently in stable condition. The status of any additional victims has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities reported that the vehicle involved was a school bus tasked with transporting students. The incident occurred when the bus lost control near an intersection and collided with a group of pedestrians. Law enforcement has since taken the driver into custody, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
