Tragedy Strikes Eastern China: 11 Dead, Including Students and Parents, in Horrific School Bus Crash
In eastern China, a tragic incident occurred when a bus plowed into a group of people outside a school, resulting in the deaths of 5 children and 6 adults. Following the incident, which left many others injured, the bus driver was taken into custody by the police. This crash comes shortly after national media highlighted new safety protocols for protecting students.
On Tuesday morning, a bus collided with a group of people outside a junior high school in eastern China, resulting in 11 fatalities and 24 injuries.
State media CCTV reported that the accident happened at approximately 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day back at school.
According to the report, those injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others are reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not yet been disclosed.
According to police, the vehicle involved was a school bus assigned to transport students. It went out of control as it neared an intersection and collided with a group of people. Authorities have taken the driver into custody and are currently conducting an investigation.
