Ford Motor, Carrier, and Tesla are identified as the three most susceptible companies in a study by a market research company.
Which prominent American companies, that depend heavily on their operations in China, are most vulnerable amidst the geopolitical rivalry between the globe's two biggest economies?
Strategy Risks, a market research company, highlighted the most at-risk corporations among the leading 250 US public companies in relation to their exposure to China. The companies identified this Monday included Ford Motor, household appliance heavyweight Carrier, electric car producer Tesla, technology powerhouse Apple, and worldwide beverage company Coca-Cola.
The company examined a variety of open-access data, including corporate communications such as yearly and sales summaries; media reports; and official statistics to evaluate the risk on a scale from 0 to 100.
The assessment encompassed elements such as supply chain operations, relationships with the Chinese government and Communist Party representatives, and industry rules in China.
Ford took the lead with a score of 69, with Apple and Carrier not far behind, both achieving a score of 65. Tesla and Coca-Cola were also in the mix, each earning a score of 63, while other distinguished corporations, such as Honeywell and Walt Disney, hovered around the 60 mark.
