Nico Rosberg has expressed concerns about a potential "brain drain" at Red Bull following the departure of key figure Adrian Newey.
Chief Technology Officer Newey is set to leave early next year, though his routine duties with the Formula 1 team have already significantly decreased.
His significant defeat was announced at the same time Red Bull experienced a surprising decline in performance, despite their dominance since early 2022.
"Adrian might be the most brilliant mind in Formula 1 over the last four decades," ex-F1 champion Rosberg remarked to Sky Sports.
"I'm confident that his influence would be beneficial if he were still participating."
"It's harder without him."
"Moreover, Adrian serves as the exemplar and the person everyone in the engineering and aerodynamic team admires."
"When he departs, it speeds up the loss of talented individuals. People think, 'If he's gone, perhaps it's time for me to seek new opportunities, because working with Adrian was what I enjoyed.'"
"It winds in a spiral…"
Jonathan Wheatley is set to step down from his role as Red Bull's sporting director to take on the position of team principal at Audi. Meanwhile, Rob Marshall made a move to McLaren a year prior.
Zak Brown, the CEO of McLaren, humorously stated that he has received several resumes from key employees at Red Bull.

Max Verstappen finished in sixth place at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, while Sergio Perez secured the eighth position.
The McLaren drivers, the Ferrari drivers, and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton all placed ahead of Verstappen.
Rosberg observed that Red Bull is typically flawless with their pitstops, highlighting that it was significant when even their pitstop encountered issues.
“What in the world is happening?” Max was trailing the Ferrari by 38 seconds. It’s unbelievable! And the reason is still unknown.
“It’s an unexpected twist that no one saw coming.
“I believe they will re-enter the competition in the upcoming races. However, they seem to have lost direction.”
