Five Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers achieved record-breaking monthly sales, as deals attracted younger consumers. BYD, Li Auto, Xpeng, Zeekr, and Leapmotor reported unprecedented monthly deliveries in September, thanks to the appeal of new models and promotional offers.

"Car sales soared in September, with leading companies capitalizing on customer purchasing enthusiasm following their introduction of new models and slashing of prices," stated Phate Zhang, the creator of CnEVPost, an electric vehicle data firm located in Shanghai. "This positive trend is likely to persist in the following months as a growing number of Chinese drivers favor electric vehicles over gasoline-powered ones."
