Revving Up for 2025: Live Updates from the 2024 Misano MotoGP Test Day
Live Updates: 2024 Official MotoGP Test at Misano
Comprehensive coverage of the in-season official MotoGP test at Misano for 2024
The MotoGP riders are back on the Misano track merely a day after competing in the San Marino Grand Prix for a crucial testing session.
The Misano test will provide certain manufacturers with a preview of their 2025 strategies, whereas others will use the opportunity to experiment with various components and configurations for the rest of the current season.
The examination starts at 8:00 AM UK time and continues until 5:00 PM UK time.
Pedro Acosta has taken to the track to assess the conditions.
Following an hour-long race, there is no clear winner.
The track remains vacant while it dries out.
There has been no activity on the track yet as it is still in the process of drying.
The green surface, however, will benefit the teams because the reduced grip will more effectively highlight the weaknesses in the bikes.
The initial session of the day lasts for 3 hours and 45 minutes, after which the riders will have a short break before continuing with the remainder of the test.
Fifteen minutes have passed since the track opened, and still no one has ventured onto it.
Although test days hold significance, don't forget to consider Marc Marquez.
He barely had a chance to celebrate his Aragon victory as another race was scheduled just a few days later. Now, following his triumph at the San Marino Grand Prix, he's already putting in extra work the very next day!
Yesterday, the Gresini rider mentioned that he doesn’t have many new things to test today, apart from a few different setup concepts. However, he acknowledged that this will be crucial because he still has "some aspects to explore" on the GP23.
A major point of interest today will be Honda.
Our sources indicate that they will introduce a significantly modified RC213V for the riders to test.
We are still waiting for confirmation from HRC on whether Joan Mir and Luca Marini, who missed the San Marino Grand Prix due to illness, will be able to participate in today's race.
The Misano circuit is wet due to rain from last night, but the track is now open for the first session of the day.
As a result, there won't be a lot of running happening for the time being.
