Natalie Robyn Steps Down as FIA CEO After 18-Month Tenure

Natalie Robyn has vacated her role as CEO of FIA, having served for only a year and

Natalie Robyn has stepped down from her position as CEO of the FIA, having held the role for a year and a half.

The position of CEO was introduced by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, with Robyn taking up her role within the organization in November 2022.

Less than two years into her position, the governing body of F1 has announced that Robyn will depart from her role at the month's conclusion through a "mutual agreement".

Over the last year and a half, Natalie has led a significant transformation in the federation's operational framework, being instrumental in updating the FIA, improving governance, and establishing long-term financial security, according to a statement from the FIA.

In November 2022, Natalie's promotion to CEO was a significant achievement, drawing on her extensive 18-year experience across the automotive and financial industries. She has chosen to explore new ventures beyond the FIA, leading to her mutually agreed exit from the company, which will take place at the conclusion of May.

Sulayem commented, “Natalie stepping into the role marked a historic moment for the FIA as its first CEO. She played a significant role in the extensive restructuring of how we operate and manage. I, along with the FIA, extend our best wishes for her success in her upcoming projects.”

The FIA cited Robyn who expressed, "Serving as the CEO of the FIA has been a tremendous honor, and I am thankful for the opportunity to have led a series of restructuring and reform initiatives."

"The moment has come to take a step back, confident in the understanding that the organization is more adequately prepared for the upcoming challenges."

Robyn, formerly employed by Daimler, Nissan, and Volvo, has become the most recent high-ranking individual to depart from the FIA.

In recent times, Steve Nielsen, the sporting director, Tim Goss, the director for single-seater events, and Deborah Mayer, who leads the women's commission, have all stepped down from their positions.
