Dorna Announces British Talent Cup Competitor for 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Selection
Lucas Brown is set to transition from competing in the British Talent Cup to participating in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in the upcoming season.
Last weekend at Donington Park, Brown clinched the title of the British Talent Cup champion.
He has now been officially chosen by Dorna as the rider to advance significantly.
Brown secured the championship at Donington while representing SENCAT Talent Team in collaboration with Mortimer Racing.
He managed to outperform his competitors, Amanuel Brinton and Ryan Frost, in the last three races of the contest.
Frost was forced out of the race during the initial lap of Race 1, paving the way for Brown to clinch the win
Brown narrowly defeated Filip Surowiak by a margin of 0.527 seconds.
Brown kicked off the second race in the lead, aware that finishing in the top four would clinch the title.
However, he dramatically failed to finish, whereas Frost secured a spot on the podium.
Brown had to secure a spot within the top 14 in the third race to clinch the championship title. However, he was beginning the race from the 20th position.
Frost clinched victory in the third race, yet it was Brown finishing in seventh place that ultimately earned him the 2024 British Talent Cup championship.
