Russell managed to pass Hamilton during the race, leading to Hamilton falling behind.

Hamilton found his rhythm in the latter part of the race, catching up to Russell, who was dealing with damage to his front wing.

Under parc ferme regulations, teams are prohibited from altering their vehicles, though adjustments to the front wing are an exception and can be performed during pit stops too.

Hamilton disclosed that he "removed an excessive amount of front wing from the vehicle," leading to "significant understeer."

Commenting on the competition in Mexico, Hamilton mentioned, "Absolutely, I enjoyed myself. Today was enjoyable.

"My initial performance was strong, but the first phase of the race took a turn for the worse when we adjusted the front wing excessively, resulting in a significant loss of front grip."

"I was taken aback. Essentially, you're forced to make an educated guess about your positioning with the front wing, and I found myself significantly behind George [Russell].

"However, during the laps leading to the grid, it seemed like the correct decision, but evidently, it wasn't."

"After maai-allcreator.com">king my stop, I managed to correct the issue, which significantly improved my speed. This allowed me to maintain momentum and even halt a bit sooner than initially anticipated. As a result, we secured a decent number of points."

Hamilton and Russell fiercely competed for the fourth position, with the seven-time world champion ultimately making the pass.

A noteworthy aspect was Hamilton's use of the latest Mercedes enhancements, whereas following his mishap during practice, Russell switched back to using some previous components.

Hamilton now believes Mercedes will definitively determine the right package selection for Brazil.

"No, he didn't, but with 10 laps to go, I sensed it was inevitable. I believe he was experiencing an issue with his front wing," he commented on his contest with Russell.

"We gathered a significant amount of data. Observing his car, I was able to identify areas where he outperformed me, and I'm optimistic that he'll also notice aspects where I have the upper hand. In terms of the technical setup, it's hoped that they've collected ample data, allowing us to determine our starting positions accurately for the upcoming race."

Revving Up: Jack Miller’s Yamaha Move Inspired by MotoGP Legends Rossi and Lorenzo

Jack Miller reveals that he was inspired by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo in his decision to join Yamaha. Looking ahead to 2025, Miller discusses his upcoming transition to

Jack Miller expressed his long-standing desire to ride a Yamaha MotoGP bike, influenced by watching Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi on M1s early in his career.

An Australian rider has received a chance to continue his career in 2025 after securing a one-year contract with Yamaha, allowing him to rejoin the Pramac team.

Miller, who competed with Pramac using Ducati bikes from 2018 to 2020, is set to team up with Miguel Oliveira as the Italian squad begins its debut season with Yamaha.

At one point this summer, it appeared that Miller's MotoGP career might be over. However, he is now "extremely excited" to ride the M1, a bike he has admired ever since competing alongside riders like Rossi and Lorenzo.

He expressed his excitement about collaborating with Yamaha in an interview with TNT Sport.

"This esteemed and time-honored brand is making significant efforts to replicate the success they enjoyed not long ago."

"In an effort to support those individuals, I've always had the desire to ride one of those motorcycles ever since I became involved with MotoGP."

"In the past, I would watch the Tech3 riders, as well as Jorge and Vale, and think to myself, ‘that seems like it would be fun to ride.’"

"I can't wait to finally experience the M1 and discover everything it has to offer."

Miller's two-year tenure with KTM has not matched the race-winning achievements he enjoyed while with Ducati. The 2024 season has been particularly challenging for him on the RC16, as he has yet to come close to securing a podium finish.

Looking back on his experience with KTM, Miller remarked, "The most important highlight would be achieving a double podium finish in Jerez."

"Certainly, the sprint podium at the Sachsenring was a great achievement. However, I wish there had been additional successes."

"There's no avoiding it. I definitely wanted some additional highlights, but sometimes things just don't go as planned."

"As I mentioned before, there are still many chances this year, so hopefully, we find our rhythm and end the year successfully."

Miller's addition to the Yamaha team surprised many, as the company chose to hire another seasoned racer for Pramac rather than a newcomer, contrary to previous speculations.

Miller's transition to Pramac is largely supported by his familiarity with the V4 engine, which Yamaha is working on for the first time.

"I believe it will be quite successful since Yamaha is currently in a phase of development," commented Neil Hodgson, an analyst for TNT.

Yamaha is working on the development of a V4 engine. Jack has extensive experience with this type of engine.

"This is crucial since Yamaha's top racer, Fabio Quartararo, has exclusively experienced the inline-four engine in MotoGP, which has a very distinct feel."

"They require someone with experience. Jack has experience with Honda, Ducati, and KTM, all of which are V4 engines. Therefore, he is an excellent addition overall."

Toto Wolff’s Pragmatic Perspective on Lewis Hamilton’s Departure: A Necessary Transition for Mercedes’ Future

Published

on

By

Toto Wolff offers a lukewarm perspective on Lewis Hamilton leaving Mercedes: "Everyone has an expiration date." Toto Wolff's genuine thoughts regarding Lewis Hamilton's departure from Mercedes have come to light.

Toto Wolff stated that Lewis Hamilton's choice to switch from Mercedes to Ferrari 'benefited' the team by sparing them from a potentially uncomfortable discussion regarding the future of the seven-time world champion.

In February, the surprising news of Hamilton's move for the 2025 F1 season was revealed, and fresh responses to this development have surfaced in Mercedes' latest behind-the-scenes book, 'Inside Mercedes F1: Life in the Fast Lane.'

The narrative of the book tracks the team's uneven performance during their 2023 season and the beginning of 2024.

The article discusses Hamilton's choice to move from Mercedes to Ferrari, mentioning that Wolff indicated they proposed a 1+1 contract to the seven-time world champion because of doubts about his ability to remain competitive as he approaches his 40s.

Wolff explained that the rationale behind signing a one-year contract with an additional optional year for Hamilton was intentional.

"In our sport, having a keen mental acuity is crucial, and I think everyone has a certain period where they are at their best."

"I need to consider the future generation, similar to how it's done in football. Coaches such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola foresaw this in the performances of their leading players. They introduced younger talents who would lead the team in the upcoming years."

Wolff acknowledged that because of when Hamilton made his decision, Mercedes was unable to enter talks with Lando Norris or Charles Leclerc. Both drivers anticipated the situation and secured new contracts with McLaren and Ferrari, respectively, before any negotiations could take place.

Wolff decided to elevate 18-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli to take Hamilton's place in 2025.

He mentioned that he was fully aware of the possibility of Lewis leaving. He expressed confusion about why Lewis would switch teams before it was clear how competitive they would be.

"I had no time to respond; I had to urgently contact our partners. This situation might have cost me the opportunity to negotiate with other drivers, such as Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, who had already signed contracts weeks before."

"I appreciate the circumstances," he adds. "It benefits us by preventing the awkward instance where we have to inform the sport's legendary driver that we wish to end things."

Connor, known for his keen insight into F1's disputes and narratives, serves as the core of our impartial coverage.

"Max Verstappen Earns Praise as 'World's Best' Following Comparisons to Ayrton Senna

Max Verstappen's exceptional performance draws parallels to Ayrton Senna, sparking memories of the legendary driver."

Max Verstappen's performance at the Formula 1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix amazed numerous individuals within the paddock.

Starting from 17th place on the grid, the Red Bull racer clinched victory in the race, which took place under rainy conditions. This achievement followed a week filled with controversy, during which the driver faced several penalties and firmly justified his driving approach.

Christian Horner compared Verstappen's performance to that of Ayrton Senna during the 1993 European Grand Prix, highlighting it as one of Formula 1's most remarkable laps.

Former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber, who currently manages Oscar Piastri, was also highly impressed by Verstappen.

In an interview with Channel 4, Webber commented on whether the Sao Paulo Grand Prix was one of Verstappen's top performances, saying, "It's definitely among the best…"

"Very few individuals possessed the capability to execute the moves that he performed."

He appeared at ease. In the slower turns, he had excellent control and maneuvered the vehicle skillfully, maintaining a straight and tidy line.

"I believe I didn't witness him veer off course or make any wide turns throughout the entire race, which is quite remarkable."

"He has an impressive record of remarkable performances, but this particular one clearly declared, 'I am the world's greatest.'"

Webber went on to say, "Verstappen delivered an exceptional performance. He fought his way forward, overtaking his competitors one by one."

He was the sole individual who managed to seize the chance to make progress, while the rest faced difficulties in gaining traction.

"He was imaginative, courageous, and determined."

"Before the first red flag, they were already aware of his arrival. He encountered an obstacle prior to reaching the initial red signal."

"Red Bull took a gamble by deciding not to make a pit stop. Their strategy was also impressive."

Max Verstappen significantly extended his lead in the championship standings, now 62 points ahead of his competitor Lando Norris, who managed to secure only a sixth-place finish in the Brazilian race.

The 2024 Formula 1 season has three races left.

Mercedes Sparks Speculation on Bottas’s F1 Return Amid Sauber Exit Announcement

Mercedes sparks speculation about Valtteri Bottas's F1 comeback following Sauber announcements.

Mercedes has sparked speculation about Valtteri Bottas rejoining the team as a reserve driver through a post on their social media platforms.

On Wednesday morning, it was officially declared by Sauber that Bottas will not continue as one of their Formula 1 drivers for the 2025 season.

Consequently, Bottas finds himself without a seat in the 2025 Formula 1 lineup.

Regarding his alternative choices, Bottas is rumored to be considering a comeback to Mercedes in the capacity of their backup and simulator driver.

Between 2017 and 2021, the Finnish driver was with Mercedes for a duration of five years, during which he secured victory in 10 races and achieved a

With Lewis Hamilton as a key driver, Mercedes consistently topped the Formula 1 constructors' standings, successfully overcoming challenges posed by Ferrari during 2017 and 2018, and later from Red Bull in 2021.

Bottas might make a comeback to Brackley, serving as a reserve for George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

On Wednesday afternoon, the team sparked excitement among supporters with a post on social media.

A photo of Bottas during the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was shared in response to a tweet expressing nostalgia with the words, “‘I miss him’ and it’s merely an athlete”.

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team shared a link and an image through their official Twitter account on November 6, 2024.

Bottas has dedicated three years to Sauber, leading the team to achieve their highest constructors' ranking in ten years by securing sixth place in 2022.

Since that time, the team based in Switzerland has found it difficult to perform well.

Despite having a better qualifying record than his teammate Zhou Guanyu, with a score of 20-1 in 2024, he finds himself at the lowest rank in the drivers' championship, still yet to earn a single point.

Mercedes to Launch Investigation into Hamilton’s Unexplained Setup Struggles at Brazil GP

"Unclear" – Mercedes to examine Lewis Hamilton's Brazil setup issues

"When we examine his car's setup, the source of the problem isn't immediately clear."

Mercedes has acknowledged that the reason behind Lewis Hamilton's challenging performance at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in F1 is not immediately clear.

Hamilton lamented insufficient rear traction at Interlagos, facing challenges with managing his W15's control.

The seven-time world champion ended up in a disappointing 10th place, not managing to reach Q3 in either of the qualifying rounds.

Hamilton had a disappointing weekend, usually excelling under rainy conditions throughout his career.

Across the aisle in the Mercedes team, George Russell secured a front-row position on the grid and went on to lead the early stages of the race.

Had Mercedes heeded Russell's proposed strategy, he might have had a chance to clinch the race victory.

In a discussion on the team's official YouTube channel, Andrew Shovlin, the head of trackside engineering, addressed the challenges Hamilton encountered in Brazil. "Typically, it's feasible to achieve it [configure the two cars]," he mentioned. "You allow the drivers to adjust the setup according to their preferences.

"There's no requirement for them to operate identically, allowing each to develop its unique configuration. Whenever one seems to be performing effectively, it's common to adopt certain aspects of that configuration, or sometimes the entire setup, and transfer it to the second vehicle."

It's accurate to note that Lewis was primarily facing challenges due to insufficient rear traction. Upon examining the configuration of his vehicle, it's not immediately clear what was causing this issue.

"In the Sprint race, the moment your grip diminishes and you start experiencing those sudden oversteer moments upon exiting, you end up creating additional heat. This, in turn, exacerbates the issue."

"In any competition, we dedicate considerable effort to analyzing the statistics and grasping their significance. Lewis' technical team will collaborate closely with him on this matter, aiming to resolve it thoroughly before the event in Vegas."

Shovlin is of the opinion that the diverse weather conditions in Brazil played a role in the challenges Hamilton faced.

"He also mentioned that another aspect of the weekend was the notably different conditions."

"The quick qualifying round and the sprint race occurred under dry conditions, with the temperature being quite high. Following that, both the main qualifying round and the Grand Prix took place in wet conditions. We lacked the continuous sequence of sessions needed to fine-tune the car's setup and figure out how to maximize its performance."

"That wasn't the main cause of the problem, however, it definitely complicated his efforts to achieve the desired setup for the race."

F1 racers direct criticism towards FIA and leader Mohammed Ben Sulayem through official declaration

Representing F1 racers, the GPDA has made public a declaration targeting the FIA and its leader, Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

The Grand Prix Drivers' Association has directed criticism towards the FIA and its president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, over several contentious issues in Formula 1.

On Thursday morning, the statement from the GPDA was made public, speaking for the entire F1 lineup, and touching upon several concerns.

The announcement addressed the controversy over profanity, where Max Verstappen was assigned community service and Charles Leclerc was penalized with a fine for their use of swear words during FIA press briefings. Meanwhile, the GDPA urged president Mohammed Ben Sulayem to "reevaluate his choice of words and manner of speaking".

The announcement stated: "In every sport, it's essential for athletes to respect and follow the referee's ruling, regardless of their personal feelings or agreement towards it. This is a fundamental principle of sportsmanship. Our Drivers (the members) are aware of this and accept it completely.

"Our participants are skilled motorists, competing in Formula 1, the apex of global auto racing. They are warriors, and each event weekend, they deliver an exceptional performance for the audience."

Concerning the use of profanity, it's important to distinguish between using swear words to deliberately offend someone and the kind of informal swearing one might employ to express frustration with the weather, a non-living thing like a Formula 1 vehicle, or a scenario involving driving.

We call on the President of the FIA to reflect on his choice of words and manner of speech when addressing our member drivers, or when speaking about them, in any public setting or otherwise. Additionally, our members, being adults, should not receive directives through the media on minor issues such as jewelry and underwear regulations.

The Grand Prix Drivers' Association has repeatedly stated its opinion that financial penalties for drivers do not suit our sport. Over the last three years, we have requested the FIA President to disclose the plan and specifics about the distribution and expenditure of the financial penalties imposed by the FIA.

"We have also communicated our worries regarding the detrimental reputation that monetary penalties impose on the Sport. We reiterate our call for the FIA President to offer financial clarity and engage in straightforward, transparent conversations with us. All parties involved (FIA, F1, the Teams, and the GPDA) must collaborate to decide the allocation and utilization of funds in a way that advantages our Sport."

"The GPDA is eager to work positively alongside all involved parties, comprising the FIA President, aiming to enhance our beloved Sport for the advantage of all associated with it – whether they're employed in it, invest in it, view it, or simply adore it. We are contributing our share."

Eddie Jordan Questions Lando Norris’s Championship Mettle Against Verstappen After Sao Paulo Setback

Eddie Jordan has given a critical assessment of Lando Norris, stating "he lacks that special something" following Sao Paulo

"However, there's nothing that convinces me I've witnessed in Lando the kind of performance I saw from Max on Sunday. Absolutely nothing."

Famed Formula 1 team leader Eddie Jordan thinks Lando Norris lacks what it takes to surpass Max Verstappen for a world championship.

Verstappen widened his advantage in the Formula 1 drivers' standings to 62 points after delivering an exceptional performance at Interlagos on Sunday.

The driver from the Netherlands secured his first victory since the Spanish Grand Prix in June, starting from the 17th position on the grid.

In the F1 competition, Norris, who was contending for the championship, initially held the pole position but was overtaken at the

Norris had been in fourth position following the red flag, but a pair of errors led to him falling to sixth, marking the end of yet another weekend filled with mistakes.

Despite McLaren's vehicle outpacing Red Bull since the Imola race, Verstappen has actually widened his points gap ahead of Norris in the championship rankings.

In the most recent episode of the Formula for Success podcast, Jordan discussed the reasons behind Norris not quite measuring up to Verstappen.

"Jordan mentioned that Lando is still not up to mark," he stated. "He's falling short right from the get-go. He’s also not making it in terms of getting the pole position and the initial rush to the corner."

"Without question, his speed is undeniable. However, there's nothing within me that suggests I've observed in Lando the same capabilities that I witnessed Max demonstrate on Sunday. Absolutely nothing."

"Apologies, but it simply isn't present. This winter, Lando must take a long, hard look in the mirror and acknowledge that if he aims to become a formidable world champion, there's a significant amount he needs to understand. He must begin to review those videos again, learning what it truly means to be resilient, strong, and successful."

"Currently, I apologize, but he simply doesn't possess it."

As the competition for the drivers' title appears almost unattainable, Norris must perform exceptionally in the last three races if McLaren aims to clinch their first team championship since 1998.

McLaren leads Ferrari by 36 points as they head into the Las Vegas Grand Prix set to take place later this month.

Ferrari is anticipated to perform strongly in Las Vegas, thanks to the circuit's extensive straight paths and areas requiring high traction.

Eddie Jordan’s Bold Red Bull Prediction: Carlos Sainz as the Ideal Verstappen Teammate for 2025 Amid Perez’s Struggles

Published

on

By

"Eddie Jordan shares his pick for who should partner with Max Verstappen by 2025 if he were in charge at Red Bull."

Eddie Jordan would opt for Carlos Sainz to fill Sergio Perez's spot at Red Bull for the 2025 Formula 1 campaign.

Speculation about Perez's ongoing tenure with Red Bull remains rampant due to his recent string of disappointing performances.

Since the Chinese Grand Prix in April, the Mexican driver hasn't managed to secure a top-three finish.

His lackluster showings have positioned Red Bull for their lowest team standings since 2019, in third place, trailing behind McLaren and Ferrari.

The weekend in Brazil proved to be disappointing for Perez, who ended the race beyond the top 10, in stark contrast to his teammate Max Verstappen who clinched victory starting from 17th position on the grid.

It appears Red Bull is considering a switch, as multiple sources suggest Liam Lawson and Franco Colapinto from Williams are potential candidates.

If he had the authority at Red Bull, Jordan would advocate for Sainz's recruitment.

In the most recent installment of the Formula for Success podcast, Jordan commented, “This is the expected outcome [Sainz taking over for Perez], and if I were in charge at Red Bull, let's not forget that Carlos Sainz joined the Red Bull team a long time ago.

"Thus, it isn't simply an individual arriving directly from Ferrari or stepping in without prior context."

"He's entering the scene as a former Red Bull racer."

I mentioned to Carlos Sr. that you can't predict which opportunities might come your way in Formula 1. It's a world filled with mystery, thrill, and unpredictability. It's hard to foresee what might actually occur.

"This is a possible outcome, though it currently seems improbable."

Sainz is scheduled to race for Williams in the 2025 season.

The Spanish driver's move to Grove was revealed during the F1 summer hiatus.

Sainz was on standby to discover if either Red Bull or Mercedes would offer him an opportunity following his replacement by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari for the upcoming season.

Red Bull showing no inclination, and with Mercedes choosing Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Sainz was left considering Williams, Sauber/Audi, or Alpine.

Encouraged by the advancements made during James Vowles' tenure, Sainz chose to sign with Williams.
