Elhedery made a visit to HSBC's Premier Banking branch located on Des Voeux Road in Central and also paid a visit to the bank's Wealth Centre at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay. During his visit, he engaged with the customers, as stated by the bank's representatives.

HSBC, which has its origins in Hong Kong dating back to 1865, emphasized the significance of the market in a public statement, noting that Georges is eager to spend his initial days there. During his time, he will be engaging with various customers, co-workers, and government representatives.

Elhedery and Luanne Lim, the CEO of Hong Kong, are planning to hold a Zoom conference with all Hong Kong employees on Tuesday afternoon. This will give the global CEO an opportunity to evaluate the bank's operations and share his vision for the future, as stated by an anonymous HSBC staff member.
