Historic Comeback: Gresini MotoGP Team Celebrates Marc Marquez’s Triumphant Return at Aragon

The manager of the Gresini MotoGP team praised the Aragon MotoGP weekend as "incredible," stating, "I believe we created history together."

Michele Masini, who manages the Gresini Racing team, shared his views on a landmark weekend for the Italian team, highlighted by Marc Marquez's win.

Although Gresini had previously secured numerous victories in MotoGP, witnessing an eight-time World Champion clinch a win on their bike after nearly three years since his last triumph was a momentous occasion deserving of celebration, according to Masini.

"We need to throw the most spectacular party ever," he mentioned to MotoGP.com.

"We definitely made history together. Watching him return to victory with us is just unbelievable, especially during such an amazing weekend where he topped all the practice sessions, secured pole position, won the Sprint, clinched the race victory, and even set the fastest lap. It was simply an extraordinary weekend."

Masini reported that upon arriving at the emotional parc ferme, Marquez merely stated, "we won."

Masini stated that it was challenging to find the right words, as nearly everyone shed some tears today, marking a memorable day for all.

"Additionally, it's a day to begin, in some sense, the remainder of the championship. We aim to head into Misano with a solid strategy for constant improvement. This weekend has been incredible so far, and I hope we can keep this momentum going in the upcoming races."

Is it possible for the Marquez Gresini team to secure additional wins before the year concludes? Masini expressed optimism, stating: "I hope so. That's why we're here."

The upcoming MotoGP World Championship event will take place this weekend at Misano, the same venue where Marquez secured his last win prior to his recent triumph in Aragon back in 2021.
