**”Highs and Lows: Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnouts and Jack Miller’s Last-Lap Heartbreak at Aragon”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I ended up doing another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller commented on being overtaken by Rins. Binder added, "I devised a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season started in Qatar, achieving fourth and sixth place finishes at Aragon.
This happened even though he veered off course in both races, and his seventh-place finish was still on the better part of a messy starting lineup.
During the middle segments of the race, Binder was trailing rookie Pedro Acosta. This competition turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta managed to stay just beyond their grasp.
Last night, I devised a strategy to avoid spinning off the start, and just like the previous day, I executed a rolling burnout!" Binder said with a smile.
"I was able to navigate through the pack and overtake several riders. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating while following others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time when exiting corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely by the end."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no traction left from behind!"
"Aside from that, we took several promising strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Jack Miller, his team-mate, had a strong start, advancing from 15th place on the grid to eighth by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly faced issues with rear grip.
Following a last-lap loss of ninth place to Alex Rins, he was subsequently one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, which caused him to fall to 15th position.
"That was a lengthy race," Miller commented. "The track conditions changed once more. It had been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt more slippery."
"I gave it my all. It was tough to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident while exiting the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire, but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had a hard time keeping up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to work hard."
Pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins managed to overtake me on the back straight during the final lap. I was doing my best to be as accurate as possible, but I didn't get a good drive, allowing him to outpace me down the straight.
"We'll return to Misano."
A wild-card entry for test rider Pol Espargaro will increase KTM's lineup to five riders this weekend.
“Now we head to Misano, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol's wildcard entry, which will provide us with some valuable insights for the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will kick off with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, who currently stands in fifth place in the world championship.
Miller, who may be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
